At Fun Girl Dance School, we are proud of our journey of growth, empowerment, and community impact. Since our founding in 2018, our mission has been to provide a supportive, inclusive, and fun environment where students of all ages can explore the art of dance while building lasting connections. We are thrilled to highlight some of our key achievements:

Foundation & Growth

• Founded in September 2018, Fun Girl Dance School has quickly become a beloved community hub for dance education in downtown Ypsilanti.

• 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status: We achieved our nonprofit status in 2020, solidifying our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality dance education for children and adults alike.

Inclusive Dance Education

• Offering dance classes for all ages, from young children to adults, we strive to create an affirming, inclusive space where everyone can grow in their dance journey.

• Diverse Curriculum: Our classes range from beginner to advanced levels, with a focus on building both technique and confidence in a variety of dance styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Tap & Capoeira.

Celebrating the Arts

• 6 Completed Recitals: Over the years, we have successfully produced six inspiring recitals that showcase the hard work and dedication of our talented students.

• Currently in our Seventh Season, we continue to foster a love for the arts through our annual performances, which bring together our dance community and celebrate the creative spirit of each student.

Building Community

• We pride ourselves on creating more than just a dance school — we are a community. Our students, families, and staff come together to support one another, building lasting friendships and positive connections.

• As we continue to grow, we remain focused on creating an affirming, inclusive environment where every student can thrive, both as a dancer and as an individual.
